"Each week we'll meet women who had the passion and determination to break barriers and overcome obstacles to become movers and shakers in their own fields and beyond," says Holly Freedman, a member of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College of Florida's Advisory Council and creator of its Listening to Women series.

"Their inspiring stories will engage and captivate the audience."

The series, which runs from Jan. 26 to March 2, 2023, features women from Sarasota and Manatee counties who have " persevered in television and radio broadcasting, high-tech education, nonprofit leadership, social justice artworks, mental health advocacy, and corporate governance," Freedman says, per the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

"Our hope is that the audience and women will be inspired to suggest or seek out similar programs at OLLI," she adds.

The team of 10 members includes Victoria Eckl, Louise Gallagher, Susan Gorin, Bev Harms, Victoria Kasdan, Tobie van der Vorm, and Lois Watson.
